Cambodia!

Hello everyone!
So as you all know, I went to Rivas, Nicaragua to work in a school for children with special needs.
This year, I was accepted to go to Phnom Phen, Cambodia to work in an orphanage. I am so excited to embark on yet another service trip with CGA. I have already had a few fundraisers that went really well. Keep you all updated!
Thank you!!

Nicaragua Reflecting

"We did it!"
Those were the first words I heard the second we landed in Denver from Meaghan, who was sitting behind me. We did do it... I've never been so proud of myself, and of everyone that went on the trip. Maddie, Meaghan, Kevin, and Douglas. Thank you so much for changing my life, and all 90 students in Nicaragua's lives as well.

We worked so hard before, during, and after working in the school. Some of us picked up trash for hours on the beach. We cleaned the school for hours and hours in the heat. We scrubbed mats for the longest time, because we knew it would help. We have seen the other side of civilization. Children with disabilities being kept in dark closets, not fed, just because they're thought of as a burden and curse on the family. We've seen the saddest things, and the happiest things.

I am so proud of myself, and everyone around me for being part of this experience.
